In the Artist's Footsteps has been developed as a major educational resource to record the lives and works of artists in Australia.

This Auction section has been developed to provide an understanding of the value our society places on art works and how art is traded throughout the world.

In a way it also provides a signpost to the community today that it is important to encourage new generations of artists and to appreciate them whilst they are living.

Many of our artists in the past have struggled to maintain themselves and their families. Today, long after they have passed away, some of their works sell for well over $1 million each. It is perhaps a commentary on society's values in the past and our need for a different focus in the future.
